The three primary colours (blue, red and yellow) symbolise the three attributes of the divine on a physical level. Blue represents the will to be, to live , and to exist in a physical body; red represents love. compassion, devotion or the emotional being; yellow corresponds to spirit, creative intelligence or the intellectual being.
Fundamental energy, clear light, breaks down into seven colours as it passes through a prism or a cloud of raindrops. Each colour orientates energy in a well-determined fashion.
The first three colours of the rainbow (red, orange and yellow) are the warm colours. Green is the neutral colour, at the same time both stimulating and calming; it represents balance. The last three colours of the rainbow (blue, indigo and violet) are the cold colours.
In the case of chronic illness (which lasts some time) there is usually lack of energy. In such instances, you should generally use warm colours to provide energy. Where the illness is acute (and sudden), it is the opposite; there is too much energy concentrated in the body. This happens when, for example, one has a headache, is burnt or has an accident. Under the effect shock, lots of blood and energy accumulate around a wound. Here you should use the cold colour, which will have the effect of calming, relaxing and making the energy circulate.
For all illnesses where you have to find balance, you should work with the colour green. It is, in every way, a safe colour. If you are in doubt, use green. It is the colour of healing. Good health is a state of equilibrium and green symbolises it. Moreover, therapists often have a lot of green in their aura.. as i do if you check my pictures out. The healers mission is to restore balance in the people they treat.
This is a brief analysis of every colour to help you. I find that picking crystals with the corresponding colours helps too.
RED
This is the colour of love, of passion and of the vital force that constructs, that builds. It is of instantaneous energy, which had direct influence on the etheric centre which governs physical vitality. It is the colour that feeds the living forces of the body, the blood and the immune system. Red enlivens and energises. It symbolises fire, heat, anger and materialisation on the physical level.
Since the colour is very powerful, we must always use it with caution. When red is employed in treatments, it must always be balanced afterwards with green or blue.
Red stimulates and strengthens. It arouses action, creation and construction on the physical level. It is the colour of the heart and the small intestine. On an emotional level, it stirs up love, passion and devotion.
ORANGE
This is the colour that recharges the etheric body and enables the physical body to use available forces properly. It transmits the vital energy.
The colour orange is effective from the point of view of the digestive system and also helps to eliminate surplus bodily forces. It is co-ordinator and distributor of energy and is useful in the process of elimination, assimilation and procreation in a way that is less strong and more balanced than with the colour red. It is stimulating and positive.
Orange co-ordinates and controls energy. It has a liberating effect which de-crystallises that which has been repressed. On the physical level, it is the colour of the stomach, the spleen and the pancreas. The energy of this colour facilitates the assimilation and distribution of food. On an emotional level, it encourages good humour, enthusiasm and a warm atmosphere.
YELLOW
From an energy point of view, yellow works on more subtle levels. It carries an element of psychological tonic. It feeds the brain, the nervous system, the stomach, the spleen, the pancreas, the eyes, the nails and the hair. This colour is also energising, although it is more subtle and influences the superior mind and the soul.
Yellow is clarity and light. It is a colour of action and opening. It feeds the nervous system and cleans and purifies the whole of the physical body. It acts in a beneficial way on the skin. Yellow helps with emotional balance and develpps and enriches the brain in its intellectual functions.
GREEN
As for green, this gives us equilibrium. It is both calming and energysing. It encourages harmony, good health, well being and unity. It creates a calm which does not impede activity and it exercises a great and positive influence on the heart and blood circulation. If you do not know what colour to use, you cannot go wrong with green It is the colour of healing and is always beneficial. That is why nature is dressed in green. It restores tired nerves. It is the colour of the liver and the gallbladder.
Green is the beneficial colour in the industrialised world. It creates balance, harmony, healing and peace. It is a neutral colour which is neither warm or cold. It calms, refreshes and tones up the body on all levels. It helps in the healing of the heart and good blood circulation.
BLUE
The colour blue is soothing and refreshing and disinfecting. It reduces inflammation and fever and assists relaxation and sleep. It is, for example, the ideal colour for your bedroom ceiling. It symbolises music and rules the chakra of the throat. In hospitals surgeons wear blue-green, since blue carries disinfecting qualities while green allows them to remain stable and balanced.
Blue is a refreshing, astringent and disinfecting colour. It creates emotional stability and mental clarity. Loyalty and truth are associated with it. Blue opens the spirit to understanding and spiritual perception and it helps organise thought, expression and communication.
INDIGO
This colour takes us to even deeper levels of relaxation. It carries inspiration and intuition and rules the pineal gland. It is the colour of the kidney and the bladder. Indigo induces sleep and work on the areas of the lungs, nose, the sinuses, the ears, the mouth and the throat. Any spiritual application involving devotion will generally be helped by indigo.
Indigo is a very soothing colour which increases all one's faculties of perception. It helps sleep. silence and meditation and leads to deep religious sentiments and devotion. On an emotional level, it corresponds with serenity. Indigo is beneficial for any problems involving the kidney, sinuses, eyes and throat.
VIOLET
The seventh colour- violet- is that of spiritual control. On a physical level it has a particular tendency to soothe, while on a mental or spiritual level it stimulates. Violet symbolises transformation and transmutation and it is used when working with psychic illnesses such as neurosis, psychosis, epilepsy and cerebral and glandular problems. It rules the pituitary gland. It leads to more elevated levels of conscience.
Violet has the most elevated vibration of all the colours of the prism. It creates spiritual purification, the transmutation of negative emotions, mental relaxation and transformation towards a more refines and subtle being. It also leads towards the essence of the being. It harmonises the body , which is then better able to assimilate the prana (energy) of the universe. It works especially on the superior levels of the being.
PINK
Pink contains both white (purity) and red (love) and symbolises the unconditional love that will be useful when working on problems of the heart.
Pink is the colour of love and compassion. It eases anger and negative emotions. It is the energy of the rose quarts.
WHITE
The colour white symbolises purity and virginity. It is the colour of the lungs and the colon. It is not the white light one talks about when one refers to that light which gives birth to all the colours. That light, in which the whole luminous spectrum is contained, is clear. It is wrongly believed that this was the colour white, but the error arose from a mistranslation of the expression 'clear light' which was translated as 'white light'.
We cannot see through white light, because it is opaque. We could not see through a window that was white. Only if it was clear would we be able to see through it. The light of the sun is clear, not white. When we talk about surrounding ourselves in white light, we would not be in such a good position to join in with the universe and receive those forces that are favourable, because white light is opaque, it cuts out certain forces. Use clear light.
White is purifying and stabilising to the whole of the person's energy system.
BLACK
Black is a protective colour. It is also grounding. However, use in moderation and always use in conjunction with another colour.
To 'feel' the effect of a colour, it is usually good you meditate while you impregnate yourself with the colour, for example breath in red light for a few minutes and note carefully how your body reacts to the colour.
Colour therapy is amazing and you really have to use colours to see the beneficial effect they can have on your life and health.
