Meditation helps in concentration of mind. Meditation is practiced in all religions so its religious aspect is also very important. When you practise meditation each day, then you grow in your ability to be conscious of your thinking and emotions. This is a very great benefit, because when you can observe the reaction of 'your personality', then you have leverage to make changes in your conditioned behaviors. Meditation is very important. It has a lofty purpose - to take us from this world full of suffering and misery into the world of never - ending happiness, joy and bliss. Meditation is also a method of pure discipline, that we must follow discreetly and if we follow it in a proper way we will find what we are looking for in ourselves.
