Residents claim that the famous Paulding Light can be seen virtually every night, making it one of the most reliable spooklights around. This light also carries the legend of a railroad brakeman who was killed some decades ago, and the light is the ghostly manifestation of his lantern. The light is often bright and is usally white in color, although it has sometimes been described as red or green. To explain the phenomenon, researchers have tried to duplicate the lights with car headlights and airplane lights with little or no success. Locals say the Paulding Light has been seen since the early 1900s, which would eliminate cars and planes anyway. So far the phenomenon remains a true mystery. SOURCE
This strange light was even featured on the show Paranormal Files Fact or Fiction. They tried to debunk it in several ways and all the attempts were to no avail. They just could not debunk it. It still remains a mystery to this day.
