A Down's Syndrome Pakistani girl is accused of blasphemy,I am so angry about this situation.A young girl with downs syndrome around the age of 12/13 burned the Koran,she was taken to a police station in the capital Islamabad, where she has been detained since.
There are muslim protesters who are calling for her to be punished to the full extent of their law,a conviction for blasphemy is punishable by death in Pakistan,she is to remain in custody until the end of this month.
I don't know anything about the Koran or Muslim law but I do know this seems totally extreme,this is a child and a child with a disability,should this not be taken into consideration? Being disabled, and a child, a minor,should be she subjected to the same charges & penalty as an adult?
This is not my country and it's their rules and their laws but in my opinion it does seem totally extreme.
