A Down's Syndrome Pakistani girl is accused of blasphemy,I am so angry about this situation.A young girl with downs syndrome around the age of 12/13 burned the Koran, she was taken to a police station in the capital Islamabad, where she has been detained since. There are muslim protesters who are calling for her to be punished to the full extent of their law,a conviction for blasphemy is punishable by death in Pakistan, she is to remain in custody until the end of this month. I don't know anything about the Koran or Muslim law but I do know this seems totally extreme, this is a child and a child with a disability, should this not be taken into consideration? Being disabled, and a child, a minor, should be she subjected to the same charges & penalty as an adult? This is not my country and it's their rules and their laws but in my opinion it does seem totally extreme. What do you think about this? The full story can be read here:- uk.news.yahoo.com/downs-syndrome-pakistani-girl-accused-blasphemy-133421028.htmlMuch love Suzy

Not wishing any disrespect for another person’s country or their laws I do agree that this does seem to be taking a religious belief to the extreme where allowances cannot or will not be made for someone suffering from such a condition as this young girl.
Any culture’s faith and beliefs that cannot or will not make allowance or show any compassion to another human in my humble view is flawed.
