Card 1: Five of Disks
The Lord of Worry is most aptly titled, for when this card comes up in a reading, there looks to be financial, material or domestic trouble on the horizon. Something poses a threat to your overall security. This might be an unexpected expense, or job worries, or maybe even a disturbance in your family life.
There will always be something to worry about, when the 5 of Disks comes up. But there's one important thing to bear in mind - whatever is causing the problem is much more of a threat than it is a reality. Worrying about it might just make it worse than it needs to be!
When the Lord of Worry is about, anxiety is the emotion of the moment. We look to the future and we see something nasty ahead. Then we sit and worry about it. Try to remember - what you put your attention on grows. So if you worry about your overdraft, it will get bigger! That's not, of course, to say you should not do all you are able to DO, in an awkward situation - just that once you have, there's no point in worrying about it. Sometimes we go through a stage in our lives where we feel as though, whatever good comes to us, it is bound to be undermined and darkened by negativity and sadness, that we cannot help but be disappointed. Yet just by holding that view, we invite negativity in, to add to the real problems we already had.
It isn't easy to try to be accepting and positive and trusting when life is giving us a hard time - but accept we must, if we don't want to make things worse!
So - the 5 of Disks indicates a possible threat to our security. It is important not to feed that possibility with our own fear. Fear is a powerful emotion. It can rule if we let it. When this card comes up, remember that disturbance is possible - not probable. Do all you can to avert it.
Card 2: Ace of Disks
The Ace of Disks marks, on the everyday level, the start of a new project, which is likely to be successful. So it will come up to show a new job, or a new business venture. Usually this will be the sort of project that seems to continuously keep on growing, with each level of attainment producing - almost of itself - the next step in the journey.
Sometimes the Ace will come up to indicate a sudden change of material fortune, or a windfall - though either of these would have to be quite substantial to invoke the Ace. Aces are always big influences, marking the beginning of something new and important. So if we see the card coming up to represent a sudden input of funds, expect this to cause major changes in the quitrent’s life.
On a more spiritual level, this card relates to the Earth, and to the appreciation of Nature. It might mark a period where we draw closer to environmental issues, or where we engage in a period of study, contemplation and alignment with Earth forces. One thing that we often miss, when considering spiritual development, is the way that each development grows out of the last. Anyone who has been involved in the search for spiritual truth will already have experienced the weirdly coincidental manner in which spiritual opportunities and teachers present themselves at the relevant stage in our growth.
There's a saying - 'The right teacher only appears when the student is ready'. It is as though we grow spiritually from the inside, the same way that trees do. And in so doing, maybe we develop inner rings - just like a tree's trunk. The outer ring, just under the bark could not exist without all of the others it encircles.
We're basically the same. The topic that we are exploring today has grown from all of the earlier topics we have looked into. Our experience is formed in layers, each of which is inter-dependent with the earlier ones. The Ace of Disks relates very closely with this method of human development - it shows us the way we grow. And warns us against trying to skip any of the stages!
Card 3: The Moon
The Moon is a psychological card of projecting fear into your present and your future, based on past experiences. The images, thoughts and feelings that you have repressed over time cause inner disturbances that are becoming overwhelming. As a result, you are now experiencing negative blocks within your personality, causing fear and anxiety. To remedy this, you need to go through a purging process whereby deep memories are released. This is a time when you need to go deep into your soul and dredge up your anxieties, fears, psychic blocks and personality disturbances. Many invisible things are coming to the surface including secret motives, clandestine information and ancient hidden truths. These newly discovered resources may confuse you but once they are brought to your awareness, they will no longer haunt you.
The Moon is a card of illusion and deception, and therefore often suggests a time when something is not as it appears to be. Vigilance and clear perception will be necessary to find that which is hidden before it is too late. If other cards in the reading are positive, then the Moon shows that not all is as wonderful as you would think and there are still hidden forces at play that may unravel your success. You may be idealizing the situation, and ignoring the fact that potential for failure exists among success.
If the other cards are generally negative, then the Moon suggests that you are letting your imagination run away with you, and that things are not nearly as bad as they seem. In both cases you must open your eyes and see what it really going on. Guard against accepting illusions as they may cause an error in your judgment.
Oftentimes, the Moon appears in a reading when you are not sure of your destination, or even of the path you are travelling but you travel nonetheless. You may have lost your way and are now left to walk in the dark, guided only by your inner light and intuition. You need to go on without a clear picture of where you are, where you are going or where you have been. The Moon is a card of intuition and psychic forces, so let go of your conscious mental blocks or negative self-talk, and allow your intuition to guide you. Your dreams, intuitions, and inner promptings lead you forward toward higher levels of understanding if you listen carefully and use your judgment to help interpret the veiled messages of the unconscious. Not only will the way forward be revealed but in many cases you will learn lessons about yourself that will be valuable in later journeys.
Card 5: Prince of Disks
You have a man in your life close to you. The man represented by the Prince of Disks is a quiet and meditative man, who works with unfailing determination towards the goals he sets himself. He is reliable and resourceful, unswerving and creative in his dedication.
He is more imaginative than the Knight of Disks, though he has the same quiet strength and gentleness. His quality of contemplation often yields fruit in surprising ways, generating a deep and broad-sweeping understanding about the inner workings of life.
If he is ill-dignified, the Prince of Disks can become stubborn and short-sighted - even bloody-minded in his attitudes. Faithful and loyal himself, he will not tolerate faithlessness in others. Neither will he accept lack of integrity, nor dishonesty.
He is hard-working, trustworthy and inventive, often producing unusual yet practical solutions which resolve otherwise intractable problems. As a friend he is non-judgemental and supportive, though capable of shedding new perspectives on situations. He's generally a good listener, though he has little patience with histrionics and manipulation.
His approach to life overall is one of industrious practicality. He believes that all things yield to a determined will and well-directed activity.
Though emotionally he at first gives the impression that he is solid and perhaps even a little unimaginative, when his feelings are roused, he can be deeply passionate and sensual.
He rarely comes up to indicate a change of mood in a person, though sometimes he will appear to indicate some-one learning to take responsibility in everyday life.
Card 6: The Princess of Cups
I feel this card represents you. If this card comes up to represent a person, she will be a gentle, romantic individual with high levels of intuition. The Princess of Cups is compassionate and caring, warm and responsive. She is at peace with her emotional nature, often highly creative and artistic. She has certain fragility, particularly when coming into contact with the harsher realities of everyday life, and will not always cope well with conflict. In her world, tranquillity and harmony are highly valued.
If, as often happens with the Princesses of the deck, the card comes up to represent a change in events, then the interpretation broadens out somewhat. For instance, the Princess of Cups will sometimes come up to indicate forthcoming pregnancy. The card also appears to indicate a woman falling in love.
And if the card applies to a state of mind, then it will indicate heightened perception, and tells you to listen carefully to the voice of your own intuition, and to follow through on any ideas which arise from it.
Card 7: Two of Swords
The Lord of Peace is a card which advises us to climb to the high ground in order to get a perspective, particularly on any emotional difficulties that we might have. Sometimes, a conflict bogs us down so badly in our reactions that we find it difficult to achieve an objective view. Instead we wallow about, knee deep in hurt feelings and negativity, never able to get an overview.
Yet if we can just move our position a little, see the centre of the conflict, often we perceive the whole situation more clearly. And once we manage that, a way through the tangle becomes apparent. When we can see that pathway we know what we need to do, and it's easy to see what's really important and what is rubbish that we collected along the way.
So on a day ruled by the 2 of Swords, if there are any issues about which you feel emotionally sore and unhappy, make a deliberate and conscious effort to get to the high ground, above the situation.
If you have no pressing emotional hurts right now, pick a matter that causes you concern more randomly - a long-running confusion, maybe, or something which you wish could have been resolved in the past. Use the same process of climbing above it with the intention of finding another way of looking at it, which is more comfortable for you than the one you now have.
And then stick with it, and enjoy the sense of peacefulness that comes from finding a solution to something that hurts you!
You have had security issues/money problems and this has knocked your self esteem. But also I feel some issues from the past have still scared you and this has an effect on your thoughts and feelings even to this day. You need to be motivated as recently you have felt washed out and tired. You are worrying about a decision that has to be made but have faith in yourself and know this will be the right one that you choose. Communication is the key.
The Power animal that stands with you is the Kangaroo:
The kangaroo is the world’s largest marsupial. The male can weight up to 160 pounds and run up to 40 miles an hour. The female carries its young in a pouch. The babies are called joeys and are the size of a peanut at birth. Kangaroo uses its long, thick tail for balancing, providing support while sitting, or as another foot when searching for food. Kangaroo has large independently moving ears that help it listen for predators.
They warn each other of approaching danger by thumping their feet on the ground. Their large feet have non-retractable claws, providing the kangaroo with excellent traction, for long jumps when evading predators. The legs are strong and built to act as shock absorbers, using the energy from the animals weight, to hit the ground solidly and bounce back into the air. The eyelashes are multi-layered and thick which keep out the dust and flies. The nostrils of the nose are wide which helps draw in air during motion. Its sensitive nose processes various scents.
The inside of the females pouch is smooth skinned, while the entrance to the pouch contains thick, fluffy, fur for protection against all types of weather. The lip of the pouch is really a muscle that the mother controls. This protects and restrains the joey safely when the mother is doing some fast speed running. Their diet consist mostly of grass. If Kangaroo is your power animal you are capable of escaping from your enemies. Create a safe environment for your loved ones. Do some volunteer work with children. Take time out to nurture yourself and try not to jump to conclusions. Take time to balance your emotions. Do not try to hide from your problems, avoidance is not the solution. Do a little running for exercise and practice jumping to reduce stress. You are a wonderful person, may the sun always shine down on you.
I hope this means something xxxx
