I know that many of you who have lost a loved one will probably have experienced that one split second of pure joy, that split second when you are out and about and from a distance you see someone and they look just like your loved one, and your heart overfills with joy and you smile from ear to ear, you have a compulsion to want to run to them and scoop them in your arms. That one split second when it's not true they have passed over, that it was all just a nightmare after all, a sense of overwhelming relief floods your entire being and it is a split second of joy like no other on earth. So many emotions in such a short time, then reality kicks in and it's like being hit by a train, your heart rips apart, emotions of pure despair run through every nerve in your body, you realise that it isn't them, your mind played a cruel trick on you, you feel sick and lost. You ride a roller coaster of emotions and it can leave you feeling distraught. I personally always try to find a positive in everything and i have learned to hold on to that feeling of pure joy, because i know that when my time comes to pass over that is exactly how i will feel when my loved one's are waiting for me, when we are once again reunited, and that split second of pure joy will turn to an eternity of pure joy. Love and hugs to you, Sunshine xxx :-)

Sunshine I know exactly that feeling of seeing someone who you believe is a loved one then reality kicks in and you know its not them. The way you handle that situation is truly amazing, the positive side you see in this heart wrenching experience is a lesson for me,I've never looked at it like that before.I want to now start to turn my thinking around and see this as a preview to the feelings I'll have when I am reunited with my loved ones. Thank you Sunshine lots of hugs love suzy
