Working with Crystals

A couple of exercises I use when working with crystals... (my own knowledge) ...
Hold the crystal in the palm of your hands. Some people say the left because the left is open to receiving. I just usually hold them in both hands because to me that feels centered and close to the heart. Next, introduce yourself via thought to your crystal essence. Say through thought 'Welcome to my home. Thank you for choosing me to work with you on my journey... my name is ... (insert your name). I am blessed to work with you today. May peace be with you and yours'.
This is to ensure that the crystal is aware of who it is working with. If somebody gives you a crystal it's highly possible that the crystal energy has old programming or old intentions in it's energy as handed down from that person.

So... next step is programming... to do this.. hold the crystal in the palms of your hands.. state your intention by placing it into the stone.... you can give your intention a colour and visualize this colour going into the stone. Then ask for a sign from the crystal essence to say that your crystal friend has received your intention or request. This could come in form of imagery, thought impression or feeling. For example... my purple flourite sent me a visual of a sea, calming and relaxing while I practiced this exercise. Very peaceful energy.

Cleansing Crystals... can be done in many forms... to mention a few... colour healing.... carnelian with intention... burying them.. just remember where you've put them! warm water ... moonlight...starlight.. reiki... healing energies. Sometimes guardians may like to ask their crystal friend which method they prefer. To do this... hold the crystal within the palm of your hand and send the message out via thought... 'please could you tell me what cleansing method you would prefer me to use, thank you'... then wait nicely relaxed for the crystal's response.... could be in thought, feeling or visual... don't forget to thank your crystal friend afterwards.

I once dreamed of moldavite. This crystal is so beautifully relaxing and keeps me peaceful. Can't seem to put moldavite's energy down. lol ;D Love crystal friends.

Excellent post on crystals! One point I would like to add is when cleansing crystals make sure you know its properties, as some cannot be cleansed with water and Carnelian is self cleansing which is part of what makes it such a strong vibrational energy crystal.

And some crystals need gentle cleansing, as in Kyanite which is very soft and can be damaged easily.

Your programming technique is a very good one and do recommend it to our members, as it is such a good personal touch you are infusing into the crystal. I have a large collection and enjoy them thoroughly and use them for healing as needed. Moldavite is indeed a rare and strong crystal. Just when buying one, know your seller as some are from Asia and are not as strong as the ones from other areas and shysters will sell you colored glass. So due a little checking on your supplier of crystals, just a word to the wise.

Yes, excellent point...and don't use water for cleansing selenite.... chances are if you do, it will wash it away.....the piece of moldavite that I got from Norwich crystal shop I think is real... as I just feel so at home with holding it, so peaceful. I definitely do recommend these methods, I have found them helpful with crystal communication as well.
