Today I would like to talk a little about shamans and dreams.
In my opinion dreams hold many messages, for the unconscious mind never rests. It is in constant motion. It is constantly working on problems, going over the days events, thinking about our lives to date and even what you would like your life to be in the future.
We dream every night, only most times we do not remember the dreams.
Sometimes our dreams are whimsical, sometimes they are frightening, sometimes, they seem to hold great meaning. But to me they always hold a meaning, it is just seeing what the meaning is.
Last night, i had a very powerful dream, one that was a challenge to me. I have had this dream before, and i always awoke before it ended. The dream itself was very dark and foreboding, and ultimately terrifying. Yet this time, i forced myself to confront this fear i felt from the dream. Not an easy thing to do.
In the end, the dream ended with a child, saying something, which i do not remember the exact wording, it was a challenge to my beliefs, for a brief instant i felt anger, a wanting to lash out. But then, i smiled at the child, and patted her on the head. And said "A good joke, little one." It was after this happened, i heard a voice in my mind, outside the dream, and it said. " Now you will see more happiness in things."
This message was a very powerful one for me, for i have been struggling as of late with a job i hate, not enough money, to adequately support my family and much more.
This dream was a test. One that i managed to finally pass, and to be honest, i have started already to see things differently.
Dreams to a shaman, are tools, they are a link to the spirit world, and hold many messages, challenges, and much more.
This is something that i have forgotten, and thanks to my trial last night, it is again, a part of my path.
I thank you all for letting me ramble on, and wish you all, pleasant dreams.
