Has anyone ever found that the just can't still the mind to meditate or journey. I find lately that my mind is so busy (with nothing I might add) that I just can't get into the space to meditate or do anything. On the occasions I have made the time for this I find myself drifting and thinking about what ifs and so fort.
I also find trying to make the time just to be still very difficult especially lately almost as if something is stopping me. I just keep getting interrupted or disturbed. The phone rings, someone visits, my brothers start acting up, the dog wants to go out or in, the cats are hungry and these are just a few. Like on Tuesday I awoke at 5.30 and went into a quite part of my home to meditate and 5 minutes later my youngest brother comes in looking for breakfast. Now don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining about any of the things that disturbs me its all part of my life. But I have wanted to do exercise 2 and just can’t get into the frame of mind nor find the space for this.

Sometimes the space we choose, is as important as the exercises we choose to do, have you ever tried meditating in a park, or the woods? or even a field?

I thought it was only me to get these interruptions my house is so busy theres always something even at 2 or 3 in the morning from kids to animals it makes it real hard to focus but I'm thinking maybe this is a good way to concentrate that bit more.If you go through all the disturbances you will find what you seek . A little bit like getting past the ego to find true spirit . So if you find you can get through all this you would have one strong link . Thats my thoughts on why this is happening . Also spirit have a funny way of getting you to notice and to get you to try other things maybe meditation is not for you yet for arguments sake for a week or two try something different like research learn things that might help your advance
