The Ghosts of the SS Watertown
Two unfortunate sailors James Courtney and Michael Meehan died while serving on board the SS Watertown. The 2 sailors were cleaning an area of the ship that had alot of gas fumes,an accident occured and the 2 were overcome with gas fumes. As was the custom of the time they were buried at sea.The next day the first mast reported seeing the faces of the 2 dead sailors in the water, off the port side of the ship. For the next few days reports came in from the crew members who had seen the phantom faces in the waves. The ship docked at New Orleans and the captian,Keith Tracey told his employers, the Cities Service Company,of the strange events, they suggested he photograph them, which he did.

A famous photo and famous story. I have yet through my research found any debunking of the above photo. Great article and who knows what realms there are beyond ours.
