The Mystery Tree is very aptly named. It is in the desert of Arizona, U.S. between Flagstaff and Sedona. The interesting part is the tree is still alive.
It is very common in the deserts of Arizona for wild fires to break out and run rampart through the dry desert and wipe out everything in its path...except this tree. It is a Juniper tree and for the last 16 years any fires that has occurred within range of this tree gets devastated but the tree remains untouched by any of the fires that have occurred around or near it.
Explaination? No one seems to know, it just is what it is...
