How much interaction with a robot are we prepared for and is that interaction different if the robot appears to be a person?
These are just some of the questions we need to be able to answer, according to Danish psychologist Henrik Scharfe.
His department at Denmark's Aalborg University is now the proud owner of Geminoid DK, a robot which so closely resembles him it borders on the surreal.
"It's a little bit like science fiction but without the fiction part," he said sitting next to a carbon copy of himself, sporting a similar suit and shirt and his own hair.

This is really scary. Some of the workers as they pass Prof. Sharfe in the hallway whisper, "Is it really him?"
This is the professor looking at his robotic twin.

It is almost surreal to think of this type of technology and when we might see it on the streets and wonder just who it really might be, the 'real' thing or the robotic 'twin'.

This is where technology is going nowadays oz , its constantly moving to another level isnt it ! im not sure that i would want another one of me lurking about the wilderness lol. im not totally convinced as yet that a robot can be more intellegent than a human brain as we have more capabilities than a robot . yes a robot can do many things but the human body is a very special tool and i believe we as humans do not take advantage of what we do actually have. for example we only use 15% of our brain so what do you think we can do with the other 85% ?
would love to hear other members thoughts on this subject !!!

This is very creepy. I never want another robot looking like me wandering around. Kinda makes me think of the Terminator for some reason...And I thought we all used 5% of our brains. Haha boy was I wrong...I wonder if there is anyone in the world that use more than 15% of their brains though.
