Cyclop Shark

A fetal shark cut from the belly of a pregnant shark caught in the Gulf of California. The shark, which would likely not have survived outside the womb, had only one eye.

Mother nature definitely can come up with some weird creations. I wonder what caused this type of birth defect in the shark. How polluted are our waters?

Fisherman Enrique Lucero León has filled our brains with magic. Off the coast of Cerralvo Island near Mexico, he found one of the only documented instances of a Cyclops shark, an embryo still situated in the womb of its mother, a dusky shark.
